JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the implementation of HR strategies and programs to achieve short and long-term business objectives

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
-
Provide support to employees on various HR related topics
-
Create alignment between recruitment efforts and overall business strategy to continuously identify and maintain quality talent
-
Support recruitment needs by developing relationships with and creating a pleasant experience for candidates by utilizing all available recruiting methods - sourcing, candidate selection, negotiating, interviewing and screening
-
Clearly define position requirements and the recruiting process. Recommend interviewing and hiring techniques and provide training as appropriate

Take on special HR projects and initiatives aligned with business objectives

Maintain data integrity within all systems/reports

Assist employees with the completion of enrollment in benefit plans, as well as helping to coordinate open enrollment and employee benefit education programs
-
Maintain and file electronic and paper personnel records, update Human Resources Information systems (HRIS) and other HR records
-
Process new hires including applicable documentation
-
Prepare termination packets, coordinate all final payroll payments as needed

Assist with completing HR related audits

Coordinate employee leave time and workers compensation claims

Conduct New Hire Orientations

Undertake tasks around performance management
-
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PHR/SPHR or equivalent certification

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
